Michelle Olivieri, MBA, CPA

Michelle Olivieri, CPA, MBA, is an accomplished accounting professional and educator with over two decades of experience in audit, financial management, and consulting. As a Manager at Hamilton & Musser, PC, since 2017, she oversees technical reviews for audits, ensures compliance with grant guidelines, and drives audit efficiency for local governments and nonprofit organizations.

Her expertise includes managing Single Audit engagements under the Uniform Guidance (suggested edit for accuracy: "Uniform Grant Single Audit" is not the standard terminology), providing technical reviews of all audit reports prior to issuance, and implementing innovative audit strategies.

Previously, Michelle served as a Supervising Senior at Greenawalt & Co., PC, and as a Senior Associate at KPMG LLP, where she conducted financial statement audits for diverse entities, including county governments, healthcare organizations, and colleges. She also led healthcare consulting engagements generating over $700,000 in annualized revenue.

Michelle has also worked in the private sector as a Controller, where she built and led accounting processes, converted financial statements to the accrual basis, and implemented robust internal controls.

Her career began as an A/R Specialist at a continuing care facility for the elderly, managing significant Medicare claims.

Michelle holds an MBA in Accounting/Finance from St. Bonaventure University (2002), where she was inducted into the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, and a BA in International Studies from Emory University (1995). 

A dedicated volunteer, she has served as Treasurer and President of the Central Dauphin Middle School PTA and contributed to Junior Achievement. Michelle is also a volunteer for the Humane Society of Harrisburg.

As an adjunct instructor, Michelle brings real-world expertise to the classroom, fostering a dynamic learning environment through her leadership, interpersonal skills, and passion for mentoring future accountants.
