The sound of progress is echoing at York College’s Knowledge Park, where JDB Engineering is moving into its new space.

For nearly 30 years, the York County-based firm has helped shape the York College campus and help fuel innovation. Now, it is opening new doors, literally and figuratively, with a new office on campus.

From classrooms to careers, the partnership between JDB Engineering and York College is more than office space; it’s about creating real opportunities for students to learn, connect, and dream big.

“We thought it was a great opportunity to integrate with what this building was created for,” JDB Engineering President Tim Warren said. “We want to be integrated with the curriculum and make sure York College students understand our industry. It’s an education at the ground level.”

Knowledge Park is designed as a hub where higher education and industry intersect. It’s a place where collaboration drives innovation. JDB Engineering has been involved with Knowledge Park from the beginning.

“We did the design for the shell of Knowledge Park, and we were looking for a new office space at the same time. So the opportunity and timing were perfect,” Warren said.

With an estimated $64 million in economic impact and hundreds of future jobs tied to the project, the Park is transforming York College’s campus and the region itself. For students, it means high-impact, hands-on learning with professionals who are leading in their fields.

“Partnerships like this are exactly what Knowledge Park was built for—bringing students, faculty, and industry leaders together to innovate and solve real-world challenges. JDBE’s presence on campus not only enhances our ability to prepare the next generation of engineering talent but also strengthens York’s role—and Pennsylvania’s role—in the competitive knowledge economy. Together, we are fueling growth and opportunity for our students, our community, and the Commonwealth.”

To celebrate its opening, JDBE hosted students and faculty from the Kinsley School of Engineering, Sciences, and Technology at an open house on Thursday. Attendees could check out interactive engineering stations inside the new offices and learn more about JDB Engineering in general.

It’s an opening that’s as much about people as it is about space, bringing together students, faculty, industry leaders, and community partners to imagine what’s possible when collaboration is at the heart of progress.

Knowledge Park is built on the idea that progress doesn’t happen by chance; it’s designed with purpose. With JDB Engineering now officially on board, York College is taking another step toward creating transformational opportunities for its students and all of York County.
