While the experiences highlighted below are all available for York College students, they are not your only options. If you find a different academically accredited study abroad program that interests you, our office is happy to provide guidance as you study and travel with your program of choice.

Austria
Term(s) Offered: Fall Semester, Spring Semester
Institution: FH Kufstein Tirol (closest major airport: Munich, Germany)
Who: Students from any major are welcome
Requirements: 2.5 minimum GPA, no YCP judicial sanctions, and health insurance
The Alps await. Spend a semester or summer in the mountains of central Austria, the land of Mozart, Freud, and European coffee culture.

Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France (NATO)
Term(s) Offered: May 16–25, 2026

Who: Students enrolled in IA 310 NATO Contemporary Security Issues
Requirements: 2.5 minimum GPA and no YCP judicial sanctions
This short-term trip visits NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) intelligence and military facilities in a number of European countries.

Brazil

This short-term Graham Fellows trip to Brazil, home of the Amazon Rainforest, Carnival, and Rio's Christ the Redeemer statue, focuses on entrepreneurship.

Costa Rica

This short-term trip focuses on the effects of climate change in Costa Rica, one of the most environmentally fascinating countries in the world.

Croatia

Spend a semester or summer in Paris, one of the most famous and beautiful cities in the world. Indulge yourself with croissants and café au lait and immerse yourself in the art and culture of France.

Provider Programs
YCP also partners with several third-party study abroad organizations to offer a wide range of study abroad programs around the globe. These programs require that students take initiative and work closely with the Study Abroad Center and their academic advisors to find a program and coursework that works well with their YCP academic requirements.
They are a good fit for students who want to study abroad with students from other colleges and universities all over the United States. Third-party study abroad organizations provide support during the application process and have on-site staff to support students when abroad. Students can use federal and state financial aid toward these programs and are responsible for all travel costs. Tuition and housing are paid directly to the institution or organization. Students are responsible for all travel costs.

AIFS Abroad
With more than 50 years of experience, AIFS offers a wide range of unique programs in Asia, Australia, Europe, South Africa, and the Americas. Most AIFS campuses offer courses in English or in foreign languages from beginner to advanced levels.
API: Academic Programs International
API offers a full portfolio of study abroad and experiential learning programs in Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and the South Pacific. API highlights their low-cost programs on their "Get Going for Less" webpage.
CEA Study Abroad
CEA Study Abroad brings high-quality international academic programs and services to students. They offer programs in Australia, Europe, and Latin America, and also have study centers in major cities with partnerships with international universities.
CIEE: Council On International Educational Exchange
A nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization, CIEE has been offering study abroad programs around the globe to advance peace by building bridges of mutual understanding between different people, different countries, and different cultures. With programs in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Pacific, CIEE provides opportunities for students worldwide.
IES Abroad
ISA offers high-quality education abroad programming in Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, and Latin America, providing a range of study abroad, internship abroad, and community-based learning opportunities.
SAI
SAI provides academic, living, social, and cultural experiences in Italy, France, and Spain that allow students to enjoy their time abroad while nurturing their talents and challenging their minds. SAI students experience a blended educational and cultural environment that stresses academic integrity, high-impact learning, leadership development, and global awareness.
WorldStrides
Explore study abroad, internships, community engagement, research, and more. World Strides offers programs in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Pacific.

If you seek to earn YCP credit for an International Internship, you must have at least 60 credits, a 2.5
minimum GPA, and no YCP judicial sanctions.

Earn 12 YCP credits and spend a semester or summer at the Washington Internship Institute! Six of the credits will be earned through a 4-day-a-week internship at one of the many amazing Washington-area internship sites.
Tuition remains the same as on campus.
