Meet M.E. Dean

Professor M.E. Dean is an artist, lecturer, consultant, and university professor who has served in many capacities. He is a symbolic artist whose work focuses on the journey of African-American families in their faith. With over 30 years of experience in this field, he has made many major contributions to defining the struggles of family and how they survive.

His work has been featured in the Art Educators Exhibit at the Montpelier Arts Center and on a CCTV segment of Arts & Entertainment, highlighting the roles of the art educator and artist. He was included in the “African American Live Exhibit” at the Biggs Museum of Art and recognized in the Prince George’s Gazette for his community impact. He was also the founder of the Exodus School of Art.

He has received numerous awards, including being named Creative Arts Teacher of the Year at Stephen Decatur Middle School five times, receiving the Presidential Prestige Award as a Dean at Faith Christian University, among others.
