As an Assistant Professor in Nursing, Rachael Lattanzio is committed to transforming healthcare by shaping and inspiring the next generation of nursing professionals. Professor Lattanzio's approach extends far beyond teaching; she is dedicated to empowering students, nurturing their professional skills, and guiding their personal development; ensuring they become compassionate, capable leaders in their field.
Professor Lattanzio's commitment to making a difference extends beyond the classroom. In 2024, she was honored as one of Central Pennsylvania Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40, recognizing her dedication to both professional excellence and community service. She volunteers her time and expertise with organizations like the American Heart Association, supporting their mission to enhance cardiovascular health and awareness. Professor Lattanzio's role on the leadership board of the Beyond Pink Foundation allows her to advocate for those affected by breast cancer, championing women's health and empowerment. Believing that prevention is a core responsibility of nursing, she also provides free personal training services, designing fitness programs for individuals and children facing obesity and health challenges.
Professor Lattanzio is driven by her belief that nurses should be at the forefront of preventing disease, not just treating it. Whether through education or community outreach, her mission remains unwavering: to create positive, lasting change and to leave an impactful legacy in every endeavor she undertakes.
