Spartans Return Home: York College to Host Action-Packed Homecoming and Family Weekend
York College of Pennsylvania is rolling out the green carpet for students, families, alumni, and community members as annual Homecoming and Family Weekend celebrations return to campus from October 2 to 4, 2026.
Packed with Spartan athletics, live entertainment, and reunions, the action-packed schedule offers something for Spartans of all generations to enjoy.
“Homecoming and Family Weekend is the ultimate celebration of Spartan pride,” said Michelle Hudson Shellenberger '89, Director of Alumni Engagement. “It gives our alumni a chance to come home and relive their favorite college memories, allows families to experience our lively campus environment firsthand, and brings our entire community together under one shared banner.”
Weekend Highlights & Events
- SpartaFest (Saturday, Oct. 3, 3 – 6 p.m.): The 12th annual SpartaFest will be held in the M&T Bank Fieldhouse. Attendees can look forward to all-you-can-eat food, along with beer and wine, desserts, live music, inflatables, interactive games, and activities hosted by various student organizations.
- Reunion Row & Special Milestones: Reunion Row will feature reserved seating during SpartaFest for class years ending in 6, commemorating their special reunion years. Highlights also include an open house and 50th-anniversary celebration for campus radio station WVYC.
- Spartan Athletics: Cheer on the green and white all weekend long! A full list of games, times, and locations is available on the York College Spartans website. YCP families and alumni receive free admission to home games:
- Women’s Volleyball vs. DeSales and Ramapo
- Women’s Soccer vs. Neumann
- Men’s Soccer vs. Neumann
- Field Hockey vs. Eastern
- Roy Wood Jr. Comedy Show: The weekend features comedy from standard-setting stand-up comedian and television personality Roy Wood Jr. on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Waldner Performing Arts Center.
Reconnecting the Spartan Community
Organized jointly by the Office of Alumni Engagement and the Office of Student Activities and Orientation, the annual gathering serves as a bridge between the campus community's past, present, and future.
Current students are equally eager to welcome guests to campus for the fall festivities.
“The energy on campus during Homecoming weekend is unmatched,” said Student Senate President Kirsten Nelson ’27. “Between student organizations at SpartaFest, cheering on our athletic teams, and connecting with alumni who walked these same halls, you can really feel what it means to be a Spartan.”
