Winterfest 2024: A Sparkling Kickoff to the Holiday Season at York College
Grab your scarves, your mittens, and your best holiday spirit because Winterfest is back at York College of Pennsylvania, and this year's event promises to be a winter wonderland like no other! On Tuesday, December 3, the campus will light up with festive cheer, thanks to York College President Dr. Thomas Burns flipping the switch on the holiday lights to officially kick off the holiday season at 5:45 p.m.
The fun begins right in front of the Iosue Student Union, where students, faculty, and staff will gather for the magical moment when the campus transforms into a twinkling holiday spectacle.
But that's just the start! Winterfest events will run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and there's something for everyone. Students can head over to the Welcome Table inside the Student Union to pick up their official Winterfest guide. This handy little booklet is your passport to everything on campus during the event, from food to giveaways and special surprises.

Students are encouraged to stroll through the campus to check out the holiday-themed activities, which will pop up around the main campus inside building lobbies. Think cozy vibes, cheerful activities, and plenty of opportunities to make new memories with friends.

Make sure you swing by the fire pits between the Student Union and Waldner Performing Arts Center, where you can roast s'mores to your heart's content. Nothing says "holiday cheer" quite like gooey marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers by a warm fire. A new addition this year will be the Rollin' Donut food truck with free super-sized doughnuts and a coffee truck!
Oh, and did we mention the giveaways? There will be plenty of those, too—along with a few surprises we're sure you'll love. It's an evening filled with all the things you love about the season, and the best part is that nearly everything is absolutely free!
