York College executive brings campus operations expertise to county development authority as newest board member.

Kevin Feil, Vice President of Operations at York College of Pennsylvania, has been appointed to the York County Industrial Development Authority (YCIDA) Board by the York County Commissioners. The appointment reflects Feil’s ongoing commitment to enhancing community partnerships and economic development throughout the region.

The YCIDA, formed by the County Commissioners in 1967, serves as a catalyst for economic development initiatives across York County. It is best known for championing projects that create jobs, encourage community revitalization, and build a better quality of life. Notable efforts include the Yorktowne Hotel renovation, the Eden Road Logistics Center, Marketview Arts, Wellspan Park, and the development of three industrial parks.

“I’m honored to join the York County Industrial Development Authority Board and contribute to the strategic development of our community,” said Feil. “At York College, we believe in the power of partnerships to create lasting impact. I look forward to working with fellow board members to support inclusive economic growth and strengthen the region’s infrastructure and opportunities.”

Feil has played a pivotal role at York College in shaping campus operations and capital projects that benefit students, faculty, and staff and tie into broader community development goals.

York College President Dr. Thomas Burns praised Feil’s appointment: “Kevin brings a thoughtful, mission-driven perspective to every initiative he leads. His appointment to the YCIDA Board reflects York College’s shared values with the Authority—building stronger communities through smart, inclusive development. We are proud of Kevin and excited about how his leadership will benefit York County.”

Oliver Hoar, Chairman of the YCIDA Board, also touted Feil’s work ethic. “The YCIDA is thrilled to welcome Kevin Feil to the Authority. The expertise, passion, and unique perspective will be invaluable to the Authorities’ work in the community.”

The YCIDA is committed to supporting businesses—especially those led by minority, women, and local entrepreneurs—in all Authority-supported contracting efforts. These initiatives and transformative development projects underscore the YCIDA’s mission to create jobs, attract investment, and build a better York County for all.
