York College's Rock the Socks program invites students to design their best YCP-themed socks!
A vote is then held to select the favorite design — and the winning sock is created for distribution to all student donors who make a gift of $10 or more.
Sock design submissions are open now until the contest closes on Friday, October 11, 2024.
Competition Information
Make the most of your design submission by reviewing these tips and contest rules before submitting your work.
Sock designs can be submitted using any of the provided templates, or in any other digital format that works best for you. Whether you've created a design using professional software, a masterpiece on a napkin during your lunch break, or anything in between — all designs are welcome. Participants are limited to three designs each.
Competition Timeline
- Sock Design Submissions: September 12, 2024 - October 11, 2024
- Sock Design Voting: October 17, 2024 - October 25, 2024
- Winner Announced: October 30, 2024
While you are not required to use a template, they are available for your convenience. If you have any issues accessing template files, please contact the York College Fund at ycfund@ycp.edu.
Design Submissions
- All York College students are eligible to participate
- Up to three designs may be submitted by one person
- Designs must represent the Spartan spirit and must include the College’s name and/or logo
- Designs may be submitted in any form:
- Digital drawing template
- Drawing template
- Other drawing that represents a sock
Contest Voting Eligibility
- All York College students are eligible to vote
- Participants may vote only once
- You do not have to have submitted a design to vote
Other Rules
- York College will give full credit to all designers but will retain rights to the winning
submission - Designs may be altered after submission to meet York College branding guidelines
- Designs may be altered after submission to meet print company guidelines
