Labor Certification Notice - Faculty Position

In accordance with Department of Labor PERM requirements, we are publicly posting the following faculty position:

York College of Pennsylvania seeks Assistant Professor of Literature & Foreign
Language. Tenure-track position will be a specialist with a comparative focus and will cover
American and European literature courses for both majors and non-majors. Both Language
and Literature are actively working toward a greater general education footprint by
integrating high impact learning practices into courses and course sequencing. 

Will be responsible for teaching courses in the Literature, Spanish Language, and general
education programs, advising majors, serving on department and college-wide committees,
and pursuing a scholarly agenda. As a teaching-focused institution, York College seeks
candidates committed to cultivating student excellence and with genuine interest in teaching
and developing student scholarly activity. Our standard load is 4-4.

York College of Pennsylvania seeks Assistant Professor of Management/Human
Resources.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in management,
particularly in Human Resource Management. This encompasses the introductory course
and some of the specialty courses, dependent on the candidate’s expertise and prior
experience. In addition, courses in Compensation & Benefits and HR Data Analytics need
to be developed. The faculty member in this position serves as faculty advisor to students in
the HRM major and as the academic supervisor of HR internships. It is expected that the
faculty member will maintain an active research agenda in HRM resulting in publications
in peer reviewed journals and conference presentations. The faculty member chosen for
this position will contribute to the existing relationships between the Graham School of
Business and the York Community by developing and maintaining collaborative
partnerships with local professionals in public and private sector organizations such as
York SHRM.

Minimum Requirements: PhD in Human Resource Management or closely related field
from an AACSB accredited school. Applicants must have 24 months experience teaching
business courses in higher education, including 6 months experience teaching online
courses.  Applicants must have published scholarly work (at least one peer-reviewed
journal article or book chapter) and have a robust research pipeline including three work
submissions under review.
