Fall Orientation Schedule

Thursday, August 21 - Sunday, August 24

Fall Orientation is required for all new students. This is an important time, designed to prepare you for the social and academic transitions into campus life. No registration is required, and there are no fees for Fall Orientation. You will be automatically enrolled in the program; a schedule will be provided for you at check-in.

Note: Adult learners (students over the age of 23 who do not live on campus) are welcome to attend the modified Adult Learner Program in lieu of the full Orientation program.

Classes begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Orientation is required for all new students—whether you live on campus or commute. The only difference is your check-in time (see Thursday’s schedule for details). All students will get their Orientation group assignment the evening before Orientation and will follow that group’s schedule for all four days.

Yes. Each day offers unique sessions filled with important information, plus opportunities to connect with classmates, campus resources, and the YCP community. Skipping a day means missing experiences and knowledge you won’t get elsewhere.

We understand there may be an occasional conflict; however, there are no substitutions for the Orientation program. While students should make the attendance decision that is best for their circumstances, being present is the best preparation for your college experience and ensures you start the semester with the information and connections you need in order to succeed.
