It’s time to break out your best green, Spartans! On Friday, August 29, York College students, employees, and alumni will come together to celebrate National College Colors Day.
It’s a day to show off your Spartan pride, connect with our community, and kick off the 2025–26 academic year in true YCP style. Whether it’s the friendships you’ve made, the memories you’re creating, or the spirit that unites us all, this tradition is about celebrating what makes York College special.

What’s Happening on National College Colors Day (Friday, August 29)
Giant “Y” Group Photo—Main Lawn,
11:50 a.m.
Let’s make history together! Students, faculty, and staff are invited to wear green and gather on the Main Lawn (outside Wolf Hall) to form a giant “Y” for York. A photographer will capture the moment from above, so bring your energy, your friends, and your biggest Spartan smile!
