York College of Pennsylvania is rolling out the green carpet for students, families, alumni, and the community during its annual Homecoming and Family Weekend, October 3–5. Packed with athletic events, family fun, and alumni gatherings, the weekend is a celebration of Spartan pride.

“This is one of our favorite times of the year,” said Sara Goodwin, Associate Vice President of Student Life and Success. “Homecoming and Family Weekend brings together generations of Spartans to celebrate our community and the spirit that makes York College so special.”

Highlights of the weekend include:

  • Spartan Athletics: Cheer on the Spartans as Field Hockey takes on Christopher Newport (Saturday, Kinsley Field 11 a.m.), Men’s Soccer battles Albright (Saturday, Graham Field, 12 p.m.), and Women’s Soccer hosts Albright (Saturday, Graham Field, 3 p.m.). YCP families and alumni receive free admission to athletic events.

  • SpartaFest: The ultimate fall festival for the Spartan community, featuring all-you-can-eat food, drinks, desserts, inflatables, activities sponsored by student organizations, live music, and more at M&T Bank Fieldhouse. Pre-registration is required.

  • Comedian Preacher Lawson: Known from America’s Got Talent, Lawson brings his high-energy comedy to WPAC Saturday night. Free for students; tickets required for others.

Additional weekend fun includes alumni reunions, the 11th Annual Spartan Advance Golf Outing, a WICKED movie sing-along, art exhibits, and Coffee & Conversation with YCP professors.

“This weekend is about reconnecting and celebrating,” said Michelle Hudson Shellenberger ‘89, Director of Alumni Engagement. “It’s the perfect opportunity for alumni to return home, families to see our campus in action, and students to experience the full energy of Spartan pride.”

Student Senate President Nolan Smith agreed: “The excitement on campus during Homecoming is incredible. It’s not just about the games and events. It’s about feeling part of something bigger. You can feel the energy and the pride everywhere you go.”
