York College will honor the legacy of President Emeritus Dr. Robert Iosue and his wife Christina.

York College of Pennsylvania community members are invited to a funeral service for Dr. Robert V. Iosue, President Emeritus, and his wife, Christina Iosue, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11 am.

Dr. Iosue served as President of the College from 1976 to 1991, leading the institution through a pivotal period of growth and transformation. Under his leadership, York College evolved from a two-year institution into a four-year college serving York County, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and beyond.

Christina Iosue, affectionately known as "Teena," was a beloved presence on campus, embodying York College’s values of service and leadership. In recognition of her contributions, York College dedicated the Christina Iosue Meditation Garden near the Bell Tower at Brougher Chapel. Dr. Iosue passed away on November 25, 2024, just weeks after Mrs. Iosue, his wife of 66 years, died on October 27, 2024.

York College President Dr. Thomas Burns emphasized the couple’s lasting impact on the institution. "Dr. and Mrs. Iosue played an instrumental role in shaping York College into what it is today. Their leadership, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our students and community will never be forgotten."
