Serving the Region as a Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Activity
The J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship serves to link the region’s entrepreneurial community with the knowledge and resources of York College through our business incubator, student engagement, and campus and community partners.

Creating a Culture of Entrepreneurship on Campus
We encourage students to embrace the entrepreneurial mindset by fostering curiosity, resilience, and innovation. Through our programming, mentorship from successful entrepreneurs, and opportunities to launch real-world projects, we build collaborative communities where students can take risks, and learn from both successes and setbacks.

Engaging the Regional Business Community
Our community programming is essential to bridge the gap between campus innovation and real-world impact. Our strong partnerships with local companies and community organizations allow us to intertwine students and community members throughout their entrepreneurial journey. We create opportunities for businesses to connect with emerging talent, contribute to entrepreneurial initiatives, and co-develop solutions to real challenges in the region.

Managing Our On-Campus Incubator
Our on-campus incubator is a state-of-the-art facility that offers low-cost space for start-ups, shared conference rooms, a collaborative environment, and direct access to York College talent and faculty expertise. We assist our companies through business development, connect them with key resources, and foster a community of peer learning to help them thrive and succeed right here on campus.
