Meet the Students Who Are Helping Shape Innovation at YCP.

Olivia Brown, Events Coordinator, Hospitality and Tourism Management (2025)

Olivia is a hospitality and tourism management major. She is a member of Phi Sigma Pi and the Hospitality & Tourism Association, as well as a Gordon Scholar and receptionist at the Academic Success Center. At the GCCI, Olivia assists with planning community events and coordinating volunteers. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in hotel operations or event and wedding planning. In her free time, she enjoys trivia and puzzles.

Killian Griffin, Writer & Content Developer, Psychology (2027)

Killian is a psychology major with a minor in musical theater, and recently performed in the YCP production of Heathers, The Musical. She is currently the treasurer for YCP Rhapsody, the campus A cappella group, and a Graham Fellow. As a writer for the GCCI, they primarily support the At the Center podcast and develop articles for the YCP C.I.R.C.L.E. After graduating, she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in counseling. In her free time, they enjoy creative writing, especially poetry.

Kane Howard, Writer & Newsletter Editor, Literary & Textual Studies (2025)

Kane is a literary and textual studies major with minors in film and creative writing. He has been a writing tutor for the past two semesters, and his work appears in the 31st edition of The York Review. He has also received awards through the Carraway Creative Writing Contest in 2024 and 2025. In addition to developing writing content for GCCI, he serves as the editor of the YCP C.I.R.C.L.E. newsletter. Kane is a creative writer who hopes to pursue an MFA after graduation.

Olivia Kuhn, Digital Communications Coordinator, Graphic Design (2026)

Olivia is majoring in graphic design with a minor in art history, and has had two pieces in the annual student exhibition, Annual Juried Student Exhibition at the York Galleries. Olivia manages the social media for the GCCI, including Instagram, and serves as the Center’s graphic designer. She plans to study abroad in Milan, Italy. After she completes her degree, she looks forward to working for a design studio or a film production company.

Ryn Johnson, GCCI Gallery Curator, History (2025)

Ryn is a history major with minors in philosophy and American politics. She is a Graham Fellow and has participated in several study-abroad programs. Ryn also works as a writing center tutor in the Academic Success Center and an assistant in the Spartan Store. As the GCCI Gallery Curator, they collaborate with GCCI staff to develop exhibit themes, elicit submissions, set up the displays in the Diehl House, and organize gallery-related events. She aspires to work in higher education as a history faculty member.

Thomas Morehead, Writing & Content Developer, Professional Writing (2028)

Thomas is a professional writing major with a minor in communications and a focus on journalism. Since starting YCP, Thomas has joined the Graham Fellow program, and his work has been published in the 31st edition of The York Review. As a GCCI student writer/content developer, Thomas assists with the At the Center podcasts, the YCP C.I.R.C.L.E. newsletter, and other writing-related tasks. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, and listening to music.
