Meet the Students Who Are Helping Shape Innovation at YCP.

Emelia Alders, Writer/Content Developer, Business (2028)

Emelia has owned and managed a bimonthly digital magazine called Electric Flare, since October 2023. So far, she has published two volumes, each consisting of six issues. Emelia hopes to one day be able to print her magazine and reach a broader audience of music fans. She brings a unique set of skills to GCCI, including graphic design, interviewing skills,  marketing, and self-promotion. In her free time, Emelia enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and baking.

Killian Griffin, Writer & Content Developer, Psychology (2027)

Killian contributes to the At the Center podcast through writing and research. She is also a member of the Graham Fellows Program and enjoys performing in theatre productions at YCP. In her free time, she loves listening to music, spending time with friends, and reading. After graduating, she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in counseling.

Kane Howard, Newsletter Editor and Writer, Literary & Textual Studies (2026)

Kane has been a writing tutor for three semesters and currently serves on the editorial team for the 32nd edition of The York Review. He has received multiple awards from the Carraway Creative Writing Contest in 2024 and 2025. In addition to developing writing content for GCCI, Kane is the editor of the YCP Connect newsletter. After graduation, he will pursue an MFA at Arcadia University.

Olivia Kuhn, GCCI Graphic Designer, Graphic Design (2026)

Olivia is interested in pursuing a career in design, whether in a creative studio or within the film industry. She also has an interest in social media management and marketing, with experience in planning and content creation. Her work has been featured twice in the Annual Juried Student Exhibition at the York Galleries. Outside of academics, Olivia enjoys reading, sketching, solving puzzles, staying up-to-date with pop culture, volunteering, coaching volleyball, and watching movies and TV shows.

Autumn Niemiec, Events Coordinator, Sports Management (2026)

Autumn has a strong background in athletics and event operations through her internships and leadership roles. As President of the York College Club Softball Team, she has gained experience in managing budgets, fundraising, and coaching. At GCCI, Autumn is responsible for planning and coordinating events, hiring and managing volunteers, and developing ideas to promote upcoming programs. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, baking, and watching baseball.

Emerson Erb, Digital Communications and Special Projects Coordinator, Mechanical Engineering (2027)

Emerson has worked on a variety of engineering projects, including building a robotic Ankylosaurus and designing a theoretical power plant powered by municipal waste. At GCCI, they help manage the Instagram page and create promotional content for mission-driven projects. Emerson’s interests include drinking tea, listening to horror podcasts, making costumes and props, and exploring new art mediums. They are seeking a career in engineering that will allow their creativity to flourish.
