Delta Phi Epsilon sorority was founded in 1917 by our five founding sisters who believed in our motto “Esse Quam Videri,” which means "To Be Rather Than To Seem To Be." We pride ourselves in living up to this motto every day as well as our three founding principles of Justice, Sisterhood, and Love. Our mission is to develop in women a social consciousness and a commitment to think and act for the greater good. We assure continuous development and achievement for women through individual attention and smart strategic growth. The Alpha Lambda Chapter at York dedicates most of its time to promoting our philanthropies, national and local, as well as participating in other school related events.
