DelliCarpini Community Art Scholars

The Dellicarpini Community Art Scholar and Dr. Dominic Dellicarpini.

Connecting Communities through the Creative Arts.

Each year, one student who has participated as a finalist in the annual York Community Art Scholars Exhibition (YCASE) is selected to receive the DelliCarpini Community Art Scholarship. Established in 2016, the scholarship provides $20,000 ($5,000 per year) toward tuition for an incoming first-year student with plans to concentrate their studies in an arts-related discipline at York College of Pennsylvania.

DelliCarpini Community Art Scholars are members of the York College Honors Program. As a Community Art Scholar, you will engage in opportunities for experiential learning, leadership roles in YCP’s arts community, and meaningful work within local arts venues, such as planning events, participating in community art projects, and developing arts programming.

  • Build CommunityThe Community Art Scholars build a community through shared experiences and collaboration. You will form strong bonds with the other Scholars and a shared sense of purpose to create a supportive network of student artists.
  • Grow Your Practice: You can deepen your artistic practice in the scholarship program through hands-on experiences, field trips, and access to faculty and professional mentors. You will cultivate creative and professional skills as well as receive valuable guidance, helping you refine your work and develop as an emerging artist-leader.
  • Extend Your Reach:  By planning events, leading projects, and developing programming, you will connect with diverse audiences and contribute to York’s vibrant arts scene. Community Art Scholars serve as ambassadors for Marketview Arts and the York College art programs. Your participation in off-campus initiatives allows you to share your work, support local artists, and strengthen the ties between YCP and the broader community.

Applications will open Fall 2025 for students entering college Fall 2026.
